Shawn Hyde - Chief Strategy Officer

Current Role:

Serves as CEO and Chief Strategy Officer of AfterNorth. Responsibilities include overseeing all business operations, managing network and server infrastructure, and leading project delivery in close collaboration with design and development teams on the RealEstateCreate platform.

Business Ventures:

In 2022, AfterNorth was founded to consolidate multiple brands and technology solutions under one unified entity.

Key milestones include:

• 2019: Acquisition of DotNetInvoice
• 2018: Acquisition of WeLikeIt, a Real Estate IDX provider based in the Pequot Lakes area of Minnesota. The platform was rebuilt from the ground up and rebranded as RealEstateCreate (REC), now a comprehensive MLS/IDX and CRM solution for real estate developers, designers, agents, and brokerages.
• 2006: Acquisition of X-Games of Rochester, an internet cafe and gaming center, which was rebranded as Lounge51 and relocated to Broadway in downtown Rochester, Minnesota.
• 2005: Launch of the 0Spam Project under the FusionZero platform — an early machine learning-based antispam solution that was later rebuilt from the ground up.
• 2000: Consolidation of several companies, including a computer store, into Area51 Services.
• 2000: Acquisition of assets from NetAffect, a web services company.
• 2000: Acquisition of the client base from The Quest, a struggling Internet service provider in Rochester, Minnesota. Rebranding and operational improvements turned the business profitable within one year.

The entrepreneurial journey began in June 1998 with the launch of Area51 Computers, a retail computer store in Rochester, Minnesota.

Personal Life:

A proud parent of four, residing in Minnesota with a lifelong partner. Outdoor adventures rank high on the priority list, along with dedicated family time. Additional interests include mycology, fishing, woodworking, archery, and the ongoing challenge of building and scaling new business ventures.
