Steps to Set Up IMAP Email in eM Client on Android

1. Download eM Client: Install eM Client from the Google Play Store.
2. Open eM Client: Launch the app. If it’s your first account, the Add Account screen appears. Otherwise, tap Menu (three lines, top-left) > Add Account.
3. Automatic Setup:
   • Enter your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).
   • Tap Start Now.
   • Enter your password.
4. Manual IMAP Setup (for custom providers or if automatic fails):
   • Tap Mail > Other > IMAP.
   • Incoming Server:
     • Server: Enter mail.afternorth.com
     • Port: 993 (with SSL)
     • Username: Full email address.
     • Password: Email password.
   • Outgoing Server (SMTP):
     • Server: Enter mail.afternorth.com
     • Port: 465 (with SSL/TLS)
     • Username: Full email address.
     • Password: Same as above.
   • Tap Next.
5. Test Configuration: eM Client verifies settings. If it fails, double-check details or tap Ignore to proceed and adjust later.
6. Account Details:
   • Your Name: Enter the name shown on sent emails.
   • Account Name: Label the account.
   • Tap Next.
7. Encryption Option: Select Continue without encryption (refers to PGP, not server security). Tap Next.
8. Complete Setup: Choose Download messages for offline access (recommended). Tap Finish.
9. Adjust Settings (Optional):
   • Go to Menu > Accounts, select the account.
   • Verify IMAP (port 993 SSL) and SMTP (port 465 SSL).
   • Save changes.
