eM Client on Mac
eM Client IMAP Email Setup on Mac

Download eM Client: Visit emclient.com and download the latest version for macOS (compatible with macOS 10.11 or later).

Install eM Client: Open the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts.

Open eM Client: Launch the app. If it’s your first time, the New Account window opens automatically. If not, go to eM Client > Accounts > New Account.

Select Manual Setup: In the New Account window, click Mail > Other > Next.

Enter Email Address: Input your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com) and click Next.

Select IMAP and enter:

Incoming Server: Enter mail.afternorth.com. Use port 993 with SSL enabled.

Username: Your full email address.

Password: Your email password.

Click Next.

Outgoing Server:

Enter mail.afternorth.com. Use port 465 with SSL/TLS.

Username: Your full email address.

Password: Same as above.

Click Next.

Test Settings: eM Client tests the connection. If it fails, double-check settings or select Ignore test results to adjust later. Click Next.

Account Details:

Your Name: Enter the name recipients will see.

Account Name: Label the account (e.g., “Work Email”).

Click Next.

Encryption Option: Choose Continue without encryption (this refers to PGP, not server security). Click Next.

Finalize: Select Download messages for offline use (recommended) and click Finish.

Adjust Settings (if needed): Go to eM Client > Accounts, select the account, and check:

IMAP: Correct port (993 SSL) and server.

SMTP: Correct port (465 SSL) and server.

Save changes.
